ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) celebrates, in 2019, 75 years since its establishment. This year’s theme is “75 Years of Connecting the World”.

On this occasion, the President of the ICAO Council, Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, and the Secretary-General of the Organization, Dr. Fang Liu, made a joint statement emphasizing that security and speed of connectivity are at the heart of the global aviation network and are a value -key from which derives all other benefits for international aviation – commercial, cultural or personal.

“ICAO has chosen to focus on the airline industry on this historic anniversary rather than on its future. This prioritization recognizes the rapid development capacity of new aircraft, which are now conceptualized, designed and produced to meet. We have been extremely grateful to see how so many ICAO member states have worked to organize events celebrating aviation in the context of our 75th anniversary, including the role of ICAO in uniting our community” , in the joint statement of the two representatives of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
