Sinaia, 29TH October 2015: During 28 – 30th October 2015 took place the 23rd Conference and General Assembly of the Romania Airports Association.
This is the most important event of this kind from domestic civil aviation sector. The conference was specially designed to present and discuss best practices and strategies for the sustainable development of air transport in Romania.
The conference brings together representatives of the Ministry of Transport, County Councils, Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, Romanian Police, Border Police and the Romanian Intelligence Service. Together with all of these representatives, directors of airports throughout the country and the airlines and also with the economical agents from Romania and abroad, with main activity in the airport field will have discussions upon actual air transport industry.
The first day of the conference brings together discussions about strategies and priorities in civil aviation in Romania, cooperative actions between authorities, airports and airport agents and also specialized aspects of institutional activity. Furthermore, will be approached themes of the Romanian Air Code, General Transport Master Plan and Regulation 139/2014 plan for establishing technical requirements and administrative procedures related to airports, under Regulation (EC) no. 216/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council. The presentation sessions will bring into the attention of participants the importance of funding and infrastructure development of regional airports.
The second day of the sessions is devoted to airlines discussions having the theme of trends and innovations in business. Noteworthy in this respect is the participation of the representatives from Tarom, Wizz Air and Ryanair, airlines which have an important role in the air transport market in Romania.
